Got questions? We've got answers!
What’s the deal with your name? +
Simple! It’s water, not murder! Though most think “Kill” is a tad aggressive since Ossining is also home to the infamous Sing Sing Prison, “Kill” actually refers to the Middle Dutch word for stream, creek, or tributary... & there is a Sing Sing Kill that runs through downtown Ossining.
What’s a NY Farm Brewery &
what’s so special about it? +
Our license was created a few years back to encourage NY farmers to keep working their land instead of leasing it to big petrochemical companies to use for fracking & other nefarious activities. Right now we are required to use 60% NYS grains & hops in each delicious batch we brew.
Do you serve food? +
Yes! We have small bites & snacks available—empanadas, savory tarts, fresh baked soft pretzels, smoked nuts, ice cream… but you are always welcome to bring in food from home or order in from any of the fine local establishments. We have a wide selection of take-out menus available for you to peruse. Ask your server!
Can I bring my kids? +
Absolutely! We are kid-friendly, have a baby-changing station in our larger restroom—“nicest I’ve seen!” & even have a game corner to keep the little ones & big ones entertained.
Are dogs allowed? +
We LOVE dogs, however the health inspector does not. Because we are required to have food, only service animals are allowed.
What other drinks do you serve? +
In addition to beers & hard ciders we have on tap, because we are a NYS farm brewery, we offer NY distilled spirits & wines. As for non-alcoholic drinks, we serve nitro cold brew, Blessed Brew Kombucha & Saranac sodas.
Are your beers gluten free? +
No, but the hard ciders, wine & distilled spirits we offer are gluten free.
Do you offer tours? +
Yes we do! During regular taproom hours, either Eric (the Big E) or Matt (Brewmeister General) are on hand to show you around. Ask your server! If you’d like something more formal set up, we can do that too — email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where do I park? +
There is super safe street-parking all around our hood—please pay attention to the signs & feed the meters accordingly. The parking lot alongside the brewery is private, please don’t park there!
Can I get there by train? +
Hells yeah you can! You can take the Hudson Line on the Metro North & get off at Ossining. We’re a short walk uphill from the station, but hey—after a bunch of tasty beers, you can roll yourself back down the hill.
Do you have outdoor seating? +
Not yet! (BOOOOO…)
What’s up with the grain bags in the taproom? +
The taproom is part of a working production brewery & we store all our grains right there—we’re not trying to hide anything. Please refrain from climbing or napping on the grains.
What’s with the bathrooms? +
We have two pristinely maintained, gender-inclusive bathrooms. The larger of the two has a baby-changing station (see above answer to “Can I bring my kids?”). Both are equipped with a state-of-the-art, first in Westchester County, Dyson Airblade Wash+Dry sink. We’re quite proud of them. They’re super cool.
What are your to-go options? +
We have a rotating selection of 32 oz. Crowlers of our beers for purchase. Feel free to bring your own growler to be filled & taken to-go.
Where else can I find your beer? +
We’re on tap at the Whole Foods Market in Chappaqua, at the TaSH (Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow) Farmer’s Market every other Saturday with Crowlers to go & various Beer Fests around. The best way to find our beer is in the taproom for now.
Do you host private events? +
Yes we sure do! Shoot Kelly an email: email@example.com & she’ll figure out a way to accommodate you.
Do you take reservations? +
Depends! If you're a large group, let us know—we’ll try to hook you up with some good seats.
Can my band perform in the taproom? +
Another one for Kelly! Send her your info: firstname.lastname@example.org, & we’ll see if we can make it work.
Can I hang my art in the taproom? +
This one’s for Lisa! Send inquiries to email@example.com
